I LOVE specializing in Senior Portraiture, and I truly LOVE our clients even more! I cater my sessions specific to each client and their unique style, and most importantly I take out the time to get to know you. FAQ’s

How do I receive more info or book a shoot?
Wonderful! Please fill out the form on my contact page and within 48 hours I will send you the A Bit Whimsy Magazine which has all of the details there are to know about the Whimsical Experience! Once you are ready to book, simply reply to that email with your desired date and I will send over the online booking contract and link to pay your deposit.

When do I view my pictures?
About 1-2 weeks following your session I will schedule your premier viewing and ordering session where I will present all of your proofs to you, and walk you through all of the collections and a la carte options to find out what best suits your needs. I will also show you all the beautiful heirloom products that are available for you so you can pick out what you love!

How much does it cost?
A $150 deposit is required to secure your date (this fee is transferable but non-refundable) the deposit will go towards your session fee and any balance will be due on the day of your session.  The session fee will be dependent on which option you choose for your session and includes the pre-consultation, sitting fee, professional hair & makeup styling*, and in-person viewing & ordering session. Session options can be found HERE.

What should I wear?
I want your photos to reflect YOU and since each girl is different, rather than telling you what looks good I have created a Pinterest board with lots of different outfit, makeup and hair ideas! The only thing I do suggest is not to wear too busy patterns as they can be distracting (however bold patterns can look great!) and also to steer away from trendy logos or sayings… unless it’s your future college of course! I also have outfit inspiration in my A Bit Whimsy Magazine that you can browse through. I am always here to give suggestions, and I also want to see what you have picked out so I ask for you to text me your outfits prior to your session so I can also get a good feel for your style!

Should I get my hair & Makeup done?
I want you to not only look, but also feel your best which is why I include hair & makeup with some sessions! I work with amazing top-of-the-line professional makeup artists & hair stylists who specialize in just that! Feel free to bring your own hair and makeup ideas or leave it up to the professionals to ensure you look AH-MAZING!

I can’t wait to see my pics! Will I get a sneak peek?
I LOVE Sneak peeks!! And I am just as excited about your images as you are so I always send a sneak peek of an image or three that caught my eye within 2-3 days! Be sure to like A Bit Whimsy Photography on Facebook & Follow me on Instagram! That’s where all the behind-the-scenes action and sneak peeks go first! Also, if you post a pic please tag us at @abitwhimsyphoto and use #whimsyseniors!

I’m so nervous about my shoot! Will you give me pose ideas?
Absolutely! In fact, that’s what I’m known for! I will give you tons of ideas and directions throughout your session to help you feel at ease. I find the best photos to be the candid photos because that is when you are at your most relaxed state. I will coach you along and make you feel like the beauty queen you are, but don’t be surprised if I ask you to walk towards us like you are on a catwalk or give us your ‘soft smile’ aka smirk! (I warned you!)

Who should I bring with me to my shoot?
Feel free to bring mom, dad or a friend as long as you’re comfortable in front of them, if not then you can also come solo!  Keep in mind this is also a special, scary, sad, exciting time in mom and dad’s life… plus they can be very helpful with outfit changes, lip gloss touch ups etc.

What if there is bad weather on the day of my shoot?
Don’t worry, I always leave 2 days open during the Iek for reschedules. I will notify you asap if I do have to reschedule, however I usually only reschedule if there is either a 50% or higher chance of rain, OR if it’s colder than 40 degrees out. If it’s overcast, don’t worry your pictures will still look amazing!

Where do I change my clothes?
Be prepared to turn your car into a dressing room! Most of the locations we will use will have some are privacy, but be sure to bring a towel or blanket to cover up with between changes. Also, we may do some walking, so bring a pair of flip-flops for in-between scene changes.

Can I get a disk of my photos?
I know I live in a digital era and I want you to share your beautiful pictures online as much you do! YES, I will provide you with web-ready digital copies of any final images These images have been fully retouched (blemish removal, skin smoothing, color enhanced etc.) and ready for the world to see.  I only release fully edited images.  Not only to protect my brand, but to also ensure you are receiving a fully-finished portrait. After all that is what brought you to us in the first place!!

How long does it take to receive my images?
Once your order has been placed, your beautiful package will arrive within 3-4 weeks, or 4-6 weeks for custom orders.

I can’t wait to hear from you!
